Johan's journey has led him through a myriad of challenges, including multiple life-threatening attempts orchestrated by drug cartels due to his prominent position as the chief of a special task force. These harrowing encounters shed light on the escalating corruption perpetuated by criminal organizations in Venezuela. Johan's resolve led him to seek refuge in Canada in 1996, marking the beginning of a new chapter.
In Canada, Johan embarked on a mission to combat narco-terrorism, terrorism, transnational crime, and other global security challenges. His vision culminated in founding the Global Organization for Security and Intelligence - IOSI GLOBAL, an international organization with over 80,000 members, of which he is currently the president.

Born in Venezuela, Johan's early years were shaped by his nurturing environment, imbued with compassion and environmental consciousness. Raised in the presence of his caring, spiritual mother and his father—a respected local journalist—Johan developed a foundation of integrity and empathy. His adolescence was marked by accompanying his father to identify victims of the Venezuelan drug cartel, a sombre introduction to the harsh realities of his homeland.
Guided by his uncle's teachings as a Freemason, Johan gained a deep understanding of the world's complexities and the values of morality, charity, and justice. These formative experiences primed him for a life devoted to making a difference.
Johan's security and intelligence career blossomed under the guidance of Colonel Leopoldo Flores Rada, his mentor and role model. Starting as a Police Officer and progressing to an Intelligence Officer, Johan underwent rigorous training by Venezuelan police agencies, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the U.S. Navy Seals – Special Forces. Serving as Director of the Counter-Narcotics division of the Venezuelan police force, he honed expertise in chemical control and money laundering prevention through international military training.
Throughout his journey, Johan honed the skills to identify key players in the national crime scene, enabling him to combat narco-terrorism, government corruption, and crime. His dedication extended to forging meaningful relationships with indigenous tribes in the Venezuelan jungle, driven by a commitment to protect them from abandonment and crime.
Johan's unflinching stance against narco-terrorism took a toll, subjecting him to multiple assassination attempts and threats against his loved ones. Johan confronted "El Cartel de los Soles" head-on despite the risks, challenging its insidious grip on Venezuela. His unwavering resolve has made him a pivotal figure in the fight against this narco-state.
Forced to flee Venezuela in 1997, Johan became the first refugee in Canada due to the war on drugs, continuing his pursuit of justice, peace, and democracy from a safer haven. Despite facing challenges as an immigrant, Johan's reputation as an international security expert flourished.
Johan's impact spans continents, from working with Afghani security forces to advising indigenous governments in Canada and offering guidance on counter-narcotics efforts in Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago, Oman, the UAE, and many other nations. His advisory roles encompass organizations such as NATO, INTERPOL, EUROPOL, IADB, and OAS, reflecting his broad influence.
